West Burlington, IA-Southeastern had their backs against the wall in the final five minutes of the Plains District Championship against Allen County (Kan.). The Blackhawks trailed 1-0  in the final minutes before freshman forward and ICCAC goals leader Bart Muns netted the game tying goal in the 85^th minute. SCC took that momentum and scored again three minutes later to give them a 2-1 lead and victory. Prior to that, Muns was named Region XI Tournament MVP leading the Blackhawks to the ICCAC's inaugural Division II region title.
