Baseball
James Nydegger
Sophomore, James Nydegger was responsible for 27 runs this past week, earning Athlete of the Week honors. Nydegger went 9-for-16 at the plate with three home runs, 16 RBIs and three doubles while scoring 11 runs himself. In a 20-5 win over Ellsworth, Nydegger delivered a standout performance with two home runs, five RBIs, a double and three runs scored. Nydegger is top 10 in the ICCAC this season in hits (34), doubles (10) and RBIs (33).
Softball
Logan Kelley
Logan Kelley, sophomore, earns Athlete of the Week honors after a busy eight-game stretch. Kelley recorded three doubles, one triple, three home runs and five RBIs while batting .452 and posting a .903 slugging percentage. She also stole four bases and scored 11 runs. One of her best performances came in a 7-1 win over Motlow State (Tenn.), where she went 3-for-3 with four runs scored, two doubles and a triple. Kelly is hitting .409, fifth-best in ICCAC Division I, with 12 homers, 35 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
Savanah Hauger
Savanah Hauger, freshman, posted a 2.15 ERA across five appearances this past week. She earned a win in a 5- 3 victory over Dyersburg State (Tenn.), allowing just one hit in three innings. Hauger also impressed in a 2-0 win over Motlow State (Tenn.), pitching three innings with two strikeouts while allowing only two hits and one walk. Hauger has a 1-1 record in 11 appearances, but often comes in relief, where she has recorded three saves. She has a 1.75 ERA in 24 innings pitched with 10 strikeouts.
